Usually officers do not ask any job related questions, but it doesn’t mean they can’t.

No, PR card has nothing to do with all this staff, it is just a travel document. You become a PR as soon as you get your COPR signed. After that it should be safe to change employer.Ok... But I don't have to wait for my PR card, do I?
