No. You can apply at any time....however. if it was a quick marriage after knowing eachother not very long, it would be advised you don't apply right away as it will give a red flag and chances of being approved would be low.

More than enough. When married you can apply immediately, if you've been living together for 12 months+ of that you can apply already as common law.

We have not been living together, we have been enjoying the travel back and forth to visit each other

You should be good to apply right away. We waited for our marriage certificate, had my name changed and applied a short time later. Prob 4 months after getting married.
