Quick question regarding the ITA

Guys,

I am just wondering what would happen after the first draw. Are the successful candidates going to receive the ITA right after the draw, or is it going to take another month or so after the draw for CIC to assess and then they would declare the successful candidates?

Please clarify. Thanks!

1. Draw is announced for x date/time where y number of ITAs were issued and optionally for z immigration programs.
2. On x date/time, draw is performed where ITAs are issued to top y CRS scores in pool regardless of eligible immigration program unless z is specified.
3. Selected candidates receive immediate ITA and when logging into MyCIC are able to progress through and upload documents for their actual PR application.

Simple.

Thanks Doubleym ! So this means if they do the draw on Jan 30 or 31, the ITAs would be issued on Feb 1st or something? And then the successful candidates will have to apply within 60 days after Feb 1st?

Yep, at least that's how it's been sold. It's an automated electronic system, they don't need to check which ITAs have been sent out, they will check all the facts/documentation etc after submission of the PR application,
