I have a quick question: How long does one have (in terms of time limit) to land once PR is issued?
I am asking because my husband might not be able to leave his job right away... would take 1-2 months before he could head over here!
People with experience please let me know

PS: I am September applicant, yet to receive MR :(

Thanks,
P

Your PR visa will be valid until the expiry of your medical results, which is one year from the date medical test. You must land before the expiry of your PR visa. Depending on when you do your medical , you should have at least 3-4 months to land.

He must land in Canada before the expiry date, which appears on your Canada Immigration Visa. Usually, the expiry date is one year from the time medical examinations were completed. As this is not always the case, be sure to verify the expiry date as soon as you receive your Canada Immigration Visa. (I'm pretty confident he will have enough time)
Goodluck!

Awesome! Thank you so much!

One more question, if we can land separately that should be okay right?

I would think you have to land together. Because the Principal applicant needs to land first then the spouse then the dependents.
I may be wrong. Hopefully someone can clarify this.

Goodluck!

Since I am already in Canada, I will land as soon as I have my passport back but my spouse is back home... he will take a few months before coming.. I am hoping they allow separate landing... otherwise not sure how I will do it (certainly dont wanna go back home!)
