Hello,

I am applying for my CEC and wish know whether there is a need to get a work reference letter for part time (Tim hortons counter) that i did before i started my full time job (Media Analyst)
I already hit the hours required with my full time job alone and have a work reference ready. I was wondering if I am required to send one for my part time.

Let me know asap.

thanks

Anil

it doesn't harm if you provide with one.. but you don't have to..
check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp search for "Schedule 8: Economic Classes – Canadian Experience Class (IMM 0008-Schedule 8)"

They have mentioned that "List your occupations within the 3 years preceding the date your application is made starting with your current occupation. List only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code."

also, Regina said, "I think you have to have such letters for every job since you get your PGWP or WP." he is not completely sure about this.. its just his opinion.

I am in the same situation as yours and haven't provided with the second job letter

:) HER opinion.

Besides it does not harm if applicant can prove what he or she :) has been doing SINCE he/she got PGWP. :) He/she has to show that job in Form IMM5669E, so why not to provide prove of working while on PGWP?

The less wondering visa officer is doing looking at the papers - the better it is for the applicant. ;)

oops.. m sorry, didn't know you are a female.. :p

yes, he has to mention in IMM5669E form that he worked.. but m saying that he doesn't need to give a letter (that was his original question).. also, doesn't need to mention it in the Schedule 8 form.

I think the opposite, less the paperwork = less confusion ;)
I believe in giving only what they have asked for.. anyways, its not a big deal here
