ONE MORE UPDATE:

Only General Module in IETLS is accepted now.

Refer to the strict instruction.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp

Will suggest applicants to submit only General Module in IELTS

This is totally confusing, as a Nurse, I am required to take Academic.

There are two versions of the IELTS: the Academic Version and the General Training Version:

* The Academic Version is intended for those who want to enroll in universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals such as medical doctors and nurses who want to study or practice in an English-speaking country.
* The General Training Version is intended for those planning to undertake non-academic training or to gain work experience, or for immigration purposes.

It is generally acknowledged that the reading and writing tests for the Academic Version are more difficult than those for the General Training Version, due to the differences in the level of intellectual and academic rigour between the two versions.

In my opinion, this is totally out of context.

Uhm Im quite lost.. What does PCC stands for?

This means now with initial forms we have to send all the supporting documents also ? like bank statement, degrees, police certificate.IELTS ?

Yes

See the instruction guide

"Use the Document Checklist (IMM 5612) to help you gather the necessary documents to submit your application to the CIO.
Make sure to consult the document checklist (IMM 5612) and the Visa Office specific requirements (supporting documents) for your country at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp
to determine what documents you will need to provide. If you are not prepared to submit full documentation to the CIO do not apply now.
If you do not submit a complete application with the supporting documents, your application will be returned to you"

Do not be confused. Read the instructions carefully. It says for FSW program now Academic Ielts shall be submitted only and below that they have the mentioned NOC's.

Now you can interpret yourself.

Please read all the updated instructions & guides in order to save your time and create less confusion.

Hi,

Thanks for reminding me for the same. Well see as per the regular duties a banking professional might be eligible provided he or she performs at least 75 % of the duties listed on the HRSDC website.

This time they will be strict in checking the file eligibility as they have reduced the cap to 20,000. If you perform the listed duties at least 75 % then you can apply under it.

On June 26, 2010, Canadian Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced that the Government of Canada temporarily closed applications for the immigrant investor program. Effective June 26, 2010, the Government of Canada announced that it will cease accepting new investor applications. This said, any application postmarked or received before June 26, 2010 will be considered.

The Government has stated that it wishes to prevent a flood of applications from being submitted in advance of newly proposed eligibility criteria for the immigrant investor program. Proposed regulatory changes will require new investors to have a personal net worth of $1.6M, up from $800,000, and make an investment of $800,000, up from $400,000.

Canada’s current criteria for investors are the lowest in the world, and have not been changed since 1999. As a result the program draws a larger number of applicants than can be admitted every year under the immigration plan, and processing times are increasing. These proposed changes are designed to keep Canada’s investor program waiting times short.

“Canada needs investor immigrants,” said Minister Kenney. “These changes are necessary to keep Canada’s program competitive with that of other countries, and keep pace with the changing economy.”

The Quebec Investor program is still open. For more information, please visit http://www.canadavisa.com/quebec-business-immigration.html.

@ rocky,

hi rocky. Can you please throw some light on the application send on 24th June, 2010 (NOC 4131).

(at this time, no updates were been declared on the cic official website. and now they say that this changes will apply with immediate effect from 26th June)

Thanks

Should the copies of the documents mentioned in the Visa Office specific requirements (checklist) be notorized for submission to CIO?

Hi,

I know that it is not at all the applicants faults and as they expect the applications to be processed under the information which they referred to but the rules are subject to change any time, so if it reaches/reached CIO on or after 26th June 2010, then I am afraid it is very clearly instructed to CIO to process application under the new rules. I wish you get your application process but practically speaking they might not.
