thanks lubob...i have done that...i was just checking if there is any special eligibility criteria to apply under this occupation. there doesnt seem to be any but didnt wanna take any chances. thanks again.

Dear Akira ! u r getting somewhat 60-62 points without adaptability points. i will suggest you to get an arranged employment offer or wait till new MI-3 rules to be put in place in first week of july. may be there will be some changes in the eligibility criteria. u may get more points for age and ielts.

My assessment is as follows:

Points are:

1. highest qual: cert 3 in bakery (1 year), diploma in business (1 year) from australia
22 points(if done after 12th standard. If it is after 10th than I am afraid 15 points)
2. Ielts general module scores R - 8.5 L -8.0 W - 7.0 S - 6.5
16 points
3. expereince - 4 years as a cook in india (from 2004 to 2008) - collecting docs
21 points
4. age 25
10 points

Total:69(if done 12th) or 62(if certificate is after 10th).

Private but not authorized by Govt. of your country like other diploma and universities authorized by Govt.! if so affraid that no points will covered of those diploma's or certifications. Microsoft is private certifications and even somany computer etc IT companies offers diploma in some IT courses , those private diploma's can not claims any point. same with you that any private courses called Diploma but not authorized by Government or not Government school diploma's than no points for those certifications that I'm sure.

dear omm,

i have done it from a private college not from a university. but its a govt. authorised CRICOS registered institute and the qualifications are recognised for pr application in asutralia as well. so i doubt that i will not get any points.

lets wait for suggestions from others. thanks.

I suggest you to go through this link:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

Read FSW Manual from CIC on same website. it will great explaination of each sections. some courses govt. authorized but not university or government courses or its distance course for short term , attended 2 or 4 hours per day @ 4days a week ( NO FULLTIME course) than no points for those kind of courses. its simple understanding about education explaination on CIC website.

• “Educational credential” is defined in R73 as any diploma, degree or trade or apprenticeship
credential issued on the completion of a program of study or training at an educational or
training institution recognized by the authorities responsible for registering, accrediting,
supervising and regulating such institutions in the country of issue.

yes the institute and qualifications are both govt. recongnised.
• “Full-time” is defined in R78(1) as requiring at least 15 hours of instruction per week during
the academic year, including any period of training in the workplace that forms part of the
course of instruction.

my classes were for 20 hours a week

how many points you think i will get if i'll get any. thanks. :)
