Hey there,

I've some confusions. Please help me to clear them up.

I am planning to apply under CEC in the month of August.

1) Do I have to send a "sealed" IELTS result? (the same result package which we get from IELTS)

2)what national IDs should I submit in my application? And what is family/household registry/book??

3) I am married and gonna add my souse as my dependant in this PR file. So should I submit PCC for my spouse too?? ( (my spouse is at backhome and in order to have PCC there, they ask for a CIC letter..! what should I do in that matter???!! ) )

4) Do I have to submit six photographs of each of my family members like brother /sister and both parents plus my spouse?? for all of them???

5) I had started my field job on 22nd July,2013. So now I'll be completing one year of experience at the same place. I am planning to apply in the first week of August,2014. Now, my reference letter from employer contains a sentence "this employee(me) has been employed on a full time basis since July 22nd, 2013 to present day". Now if I make my employer sign off this letter in the last week of July then as per this sentence it gets proved on paper that I am working in this company since only last week of July (In reality I am gonna continue to work even after that!). and if it is so then it declares that I haven't finished my complete one year. So should I get this reference letter in the first week of August from my employer??

Thanks for your help..!!

[red]I sent mine IELTS result unsealed and it worked for me.[/red]

2)what national IDs should I submit in my application? And what is family/household registry/book??
[red]any document which confirms your citizenship or residence to your birth country.[/red]

3) I am married and gonna add my souse as my dependant in this PR file. So should I submit PCC for my spouse too?? ( (my spouse is at backhome and in order to have PCC there, they ask for a CIC letter..! what should I do in that matter???!! ) )
[red]You must submit PCC for all those who are dependent in your file and 18 years or older from the country of citizenship or residence and also if anyone either you or your dependent visited any other country for more than 6 months you must submit PCC for that country also. Secondly, you can also submit PCC when requested at later stage of processing.[/red]

4) Do I have to submit six photographs of each of my family members like brother /sister and both parents plus my spouse?? for all of them???
[red]No, six photographs for only principal applicant i.e. you and all the dependents on your file, write name and dob on the back of 5 photos for each person and leave the 6th one blank.[/red]

[red]The reference must be dated after the qualifying period i.e. after one year of full time job. In your case ask reference letter from your employer after July 22, 2014.[/red]

Thanks for your help..!!

See the comments above in red.
Hope this help

Hi

With ref the IELTS test DO NOT open the Sealed Envelope, you can view your results on-line and print a copy of the report.

The Sealed Envelope is to confirm to CIC that the results could not have been tampered with. That is why it is sent to you sealed.

There may be instances where people have got away with it but I would not risk it.

Thx

Does not matter at all . If CIC suspect on tampering part they have many ways to confirm this through you.
there is water mark in your score card so relax :)

-Thanks

If CIC required it to be sealed, it would say so in the directions.

Some countries have national identity cards, some do not. If your country of citizenship does not have one, then you don't need to submit anything instead of the NID.

The CIC instruction guide clearly defines "family members"
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

"Your family members include your spouse or common-law partner, your dependent children and any children that are their dependent children." So, only spouses/partners and children can be part of the application, and you need photos for every member of the application.

"Additional family" include parents and siblings, you only need their information on the "Additional Family Information Form" but they are not part of the application.

Yes, you need a PCC for a spouse. The instruction guide also includes information on how to obtain police clearances, along with a LINK to a form letter you can use as a request from CIC.

The results come in a sealed envelope with instructions to be opened by CIC?

Why risk it when you can get a copy of the results on-line!

Thx

For most cases, if you're applying to university, the results are only "official" if they are received by a university in the sealed envelope, just like transcripts. You've identified CIC as the recipient, you're getting the blanket instructions.

I agree with you, if you can get your own copy and have no reason to open it, you can send it in the sealed envelop. I would.

But many applicants have worried about this issue and I've never seen an application returned or refused for opening the envelope and sending the score report. It's easily verified. And again, if CIC needed it to be in the sealed envelope, that would be part of the instructions.

There is no such instruction that Score should be in sealed envelope

I don't recall any instructions with regards to keeping the IELTS envelope sealed. I'm sure there were two or three certificates in the envelope too, you should keep the additional certificate(s) to prove your language credentials when applying for citizenship.
