1. I have right now applied for PR under FSW - 1 (Skilled Worker) which is currently being processed by CIO. In this case, can I apply for work permit as well?

2. I am currently in a managerial position managing couple projects in one of the leading companies in the US and I applied for PR under NOC 0213. But, I have also got 6 years of experience with the few of the technologies specified in the table for which LMO is exempted. So, I think I am qualified for Work Permit without LMO. Now, can I apply for this work permit under NOC 9990.5 when my PR is being processed under NOC 0213? Remember the qualification for the work permit without LMO is only two years of experience with any of those technologies in that table. That 2 year experience doesn't have to be current right?

3. The company I am consulting with may show interest in employing me through their Canadian office. My current H1 gets expired by November 2010. To avoid me going back to India, they might temporarily move me to Canada on a temporary work visa and apply for AEO and in the mean time if my Canadian PR application gets through, that would be great. Do you think this strategy is possible?

Your suggestions in this regard is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi canpr :

Looks like I am in same situation as yours, but I guess you might have already got an answers of you Qs by now..

My PR application is already in process. CHC ND has already received my 120 days deadline docs - its currently "In Process".

At the same, my current employer is filing my Work Permit to work for one of client in Canada. Is it possible to apply for WP while my PR app is in process ?

Will that affect any of either ? If my employer apply for WP will that be rejected saying my PR is already in Process ? or my PR app will get rejected because my WP is getting filed ? I am really nervous and don't know what to do... Pls help..

Your quick response in this concert will be greatly appreciated!

Mdarji, I understand your situation. Unfortunately, I haven't got an answer to my questions yet. But, my assumptions are, there are no reasons why your PR or TWP should be rejected other than if there is any mismatch between these two applications. If you apply for TWP in the same category and if you get your LMO, well and good. Infact, you might even request your employer to process your AEO parallely and strengthen the chances of getting your PR as well. Please do share with me if you happened to get answers to your questions through other sources.

Thank you.
