Questions Regarding travelling during immigration and landing

Hello friends,

I would appreciate if someone could answer the following:

1) Can a person travel as a tourist to Canada when the immigration process is ongoing? Is there certain information that needs to be provided while filling applications for tourist visa?

2) After getting the PR visa is it necessary that all the members of the family have to land at the same time or is it enough that the principle applicant lands alone first and then the family (dependents) land later?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
concerning the first question, you can apply for your tourist visa with the normal procedure, your application to permanent residence will not be affected if they do ask you during the interview just tell the truth.
For the second question, members of the same family can land together or separate as long as you respect the deadline for landing which is usually one year from medical exam, all family members would have to have landed before the 12 month period is over. They don't make exceptions and if the deadline is not met, the applicant has to start all over again.
Best Wishes

The principal applicant must land first or at the same time as the family.
