Questions regarding Translation of documents

I have few questions regarding copy/translations of documents while applying for FSW program. ( Applying from US but native of Nepal)
The CIC web site's instruction says that I need to provide translation of the document with the affidavit of the person who is translating it but I already have translations of documents which i did years ago before coming to US.
The problem is even though the translations were done by certified translators and were notarized, I dont have the affidavit of the translator. ( We never had to submit affidavit for any other purpose and no one provides affidavits for any translation in my country)
So my question is, can I go ahead with just those old/same translations without the affidavit? or do I HAVE TO get those (original) documents translated again in order to get the affidavit of the translator?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, new translation, new affidavit/certified by translator.

Oh ok. I have another question.
Currently me and my wife are staying in US and i think when we apply for Canada, we have to submit National ID ( as per the checklist) to Sydney CIO office.
Since none of us has anything such as National ID except our passports and citizenship cards, does one of these documents qualify as national ID card?
Can we show our US based drivers' licenses?

If you country of citizenship doesn't issue a National ID card, then you put N/A. Most countries don't issue them.

Hi PMM,

I would like to forward another question at you since you helped me enlighten me along the process.

Can you explain me what is this NOC 38 list? Apparently NOC 2121 (Biological and related scientist) is not under that 38 categories.
As i was looking at the NOC list from CIC website, i have seen that 2121 is under NOC list and my wife is thinking applying under this criteria.
So i am little confused now.

Thank you

I had to have my PCC from Italy translated to English. I called the Italian Embassy in my home city and made an appointment. I took it down and waited while the lady did it. She also certified it. This was enough to satisfy my IO for my Canadian immigration.
