Planning to apply for Computer Systems Manager category and analyzing the amount of documentation to collect and evaluating the time it will take me to do so.
The supporting document check list contains many things; I have problems with the following: (questions in italics)
Identity & Civil status:
- Photocopies of Identification cards (National ID Cards) with certified English translation
Is this really required? Passport is not enough to prove identity?
- Original Birth certificates of applicant and spouse
What if birth certificates are not available? date of birth is mentioned on the passport? Isn't that enough?
Proof of Relationship in Canada:
How can one prove relationship with Uncle (father's brother)?
Education Qualifications:
- original transcripts in university sealed envelopes
Is it important for them to be in university-sealed envelopes? If I send original degree and original transcripts, Isn't that enough?
Work Experience:
- Notarized employment contracts from present and past employers
Contracts not available for past employers, but I do have original experience letters on company letterhead. Is that enough?
- Letters of reference from present and past employers including total annual salary, business card etc
All of my experience letters are on company letterhead with the name and contact information of signing officer, but none of them has salary information of course, and no business cards. Is that OK?
Last question:
As I understand, I dont have to submit all these documents to the CIU, Sydney Canada. I only have to send the application forms and then if passed eligibility, they will ask me to send application with all these supporting documents to the Visa Office in my country of citizenship within 120 days. What happens if am unable to produce all supporting documents within the 120 day period e.g. If I am collecting police certificates from 4 countries and one of the country takes more time in processing? Should I submit the package within the 120 day bracket without the remaining documents?
Thanks.
