Thank you. I just don't understand CIC on this one. Who has a diploma or certificate that empathically states that the subjects were in English?
Actually, some diplomas and transcripts list the language. On the other hand, I have one of my diplomas in English, but that's not the language of my grad studies. So, I guess I understand CIC on this one. I think the letter is a good idea. There's no need for external language tests. My comment about IELTS was a reply to other poster's Q in this thread. Good luck. :)

Thanks aed. I guess I see how CIC may look at this language requirements question now. My assumption is some countries may print the diploma in English but the medium used may have been the native language. Yes, I get it now.

☺ sorry for causing a fuss. It just never occurred to me that I would be contemplating taking an English class to prove that I can speak and/or write it when all my life I've been taught in English language and my diploma is actually pinted in English.

Is there a particular format this letter should follow? Anyone ever had to ask for a letter from their former school?
Thanks friends.

I got a letter from my institute from where I did my bachelors that I studied from such to such date and medium of instruction is english.
For my master's degree, i got the letter stating the same

Usually the letter has my name, my roll number, my course details and completion details and medium of instruction .

Most important part is that the it should be on the institute's/university's letterhead and complete signatures and stamps :)

It has to be on the official letterhead. Probably the more shiny seals, signatures and stamps, the better. After all, the magpies at CIC love shiny. Good luck! :)

Yes...the shiny seals, signatures and stamps always make it feel "official". Lol. Thanks again.
