so im trying to start filling out the applications, so i have a question, ive been in canada for 4 years as a visitor ( dont ask how i just keep gettin approved lol ) i have 2 kids so i guess thats why but anyways for me to fill the applications out i want to do it from inside of canada because i want to be able to stay with my family even tho i know it takes longer, but do i fill out the ones that say that I live with my wife in canada right? because it says this

There are three steps to apply to sponsor your spouse, partner or children:

1. Get the application package
If your spouse, partner or dependent child lives with you in Canada, use the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada—Spouse or Common-Law Partner;

OR,
If your spouse, partner or dependent child lives outside Canada, use the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class.

i can pick the second one correct?

If you are doing an inland application (from inside Canada), use the first one: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

Note that you can do an outland application while in Canada (you don't have to leave). The advantage would be quicker processing times (depending on your nationality) and the disadvantage would be that you will need to travel to your country of nationality in the case of an interview.
Generally speaking, outland is better than inland, and you can remain in Canada in both cases.

I would actually. I think the chances of an interview are really slim, assuming you have two children together. You also maintained a legal status in Canada, which is a plus. As long as you put together some strong evidence of a genuine relationship, it should all be fine. They only call in for interviews cases that have red flags, cases that have scarce evidence, cases in which they believe the relationship is not genuine.

Edit: I just read from your previous posts that you are an American citizen. US citizens get PR in as little as 4 months (outland) and are less scrutinized. US being a first world country, there is little chance of marriage of convenience. I don't see any reason why you would get an interview, unless you have a criminal record or something.

Almost anyone in this forum would recommend you, as a US citizen, to do an outland application.
