HI,

I just paid Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee online. After the payment is made, CIC sent me an PDF. On that PDF file, do I need to fill out payer's information again (payer is the same person as applicant)? If so, what is the client ID on that sheet? Do I need to fill that out?

Thank you!!

Hi there, I have the same question... in my case the payer (my aunt) is not the same as the applicant (me)... I am quite confused if the client ID and Date of birth section is supposed to be filled-out with my info or that of the payer...

I hope someone with the same experience will reply to this thread...

Your client ID is what the Canadians call unique client identifier or UCI number. (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=013&t=4) Your PER email should have this number.

I too have paid and got the PDF, but I have not yet submitted it. I think I would fill out the information by hand. However, I think the date of birth and the UCI is the only needed.

I called the call center earlier today to ask about the receipt. She said I should put the payer's information because it is for records purposes incase a refund is needed. And she then told me that I should enclose a note with my UCI and an explanation that the receipt is for my application and the payer is under another's name. I am not sure though if I will believe what she's said or what since there is nothing on the guide that says anything about enclosing a note.

What do you think?

Hi, have you noticed all the fields have space to fill in except client ID one on that PDF? So it just made me curious whether we shall fill in that client ID by ourself or not...

Which call center did you get in touch with?
The CIC call centre services: 1-888-242‑2100
It took me hours to connect though.

I plan to call them again on monday just to see if I will get the same response. Not that I don't trust them at all, it's just that it takes so long for them to reply and it would be nice if we get this right, right away, you know what I mean?

If you are going to call them regarding this matter, I would very much appreciate it if you share the info here. I hope you will. :)

I just filled in all of my information in that sheet. Since payer and applicant is the same person, it might be a little bit more straightforward in my case. Plus, I think I will just use my UCI as the client ID and fill it in that field.
