Need help from experts in filling up the eAPR

1 )Address history of past 10 years.

What should be the start date of 10 years? Should it be exactly 10 years from today? or 10 years from date of ITA, or 10 years from date of submission of application?

2) Same question with personal history, travel history.

3) In education details, I have a bachelors degree, a masters degree and an MBA. My WES-ECA has all three listed. Do I need to provide all three degrees in education history or only highest one (i.e. Masters degree) would do. My WES-ECA summary says Masters Degree.

4) Work History - I have more than 15 years of experience. However, to claim points, 3 years of work-ex is sufficient. My recent 3 years of work-ex is more relevant to NOC I am applying with. The other ones is little close, but not exactly the same. However, beyond 7 years, my work-ex was in completely different field in different country. I do not have reference letter for the same, although I have experience letter stating my start date and end date, and designation. Please suggest

5) In Application details - it asks for Province/territory of interest, and city. Does it matter in the application process if I have a direct ITA.

6) In personal history - there were times when I was in between jobs, more say about 2 months or so, in couple of occasions. I am mentioning activity as unemployed during that time. However, it asks for It has a question saying - What you were doing during this period, and provide name of employer facility, company or school - What is the answer to this?

7) In Personal Details- in family information section - it asks for details of family members who are not part of this application - mother, father, brother, sister etc. Do we need to provide details of all siblings even if they are married and are not dependent on you.

Please guide.

Thanks

2) Same question with personal history, travel history. Same as above

Do I need to provide all three degrees in education history or only highest one (i.e. Masters degree) would do. My WES-ECA summary says Masters Degree. Include all three and attach their degree/diploma

Please suggest Mention the 3 years work ex and move the others in Personal history

5) In Application details - it asks for Province/territory of interest, and city. Does it matter in the application process if I have a direct ITA. Just mention your preferred province and city

6) In personal history - there were times when I was in between jobs, more say about 2 months or so, in couple of occasions. I am mentioning activity as unemployed during that time. However, it asks for It has a question saying - What you were doing during this period, and provide name of employer facility, company or school - What is the answer to this? Mention searching for job, travel or any other activity

7) In Personal Details- in family information section - it asks for details of family members who are not part of this application - mother, father, brother, sister etc. Do we need to provide details of all siblings even if they are married and are not dependent on you. Yes. It is not for dependent family members. They want to have a record of your family members in case they want to apply for PR in future.

Please guide.

Adding to the same thread - I have switched roles within my organization. Should I get a reference letter for each type of NOC or only one letter?

I don't think the employer would give you multiple reference letters for different roles you held with them but if you get, may be that would be your best option. Typically, the reference letter from the employer lists the latest role and its related information and if you get as such, you may have just one entry in the work history.

In case if your employer refuses to give you the letter (as was in my case), you may divide your experience into multiple entries based on the positions held and try doing the below:
  • Get a letter from your colleague (preferably supervisor) listing your employee number, current designation, date of joining, full/part time, No of hrs per week, latest annual salary and supervisor name. Prepare a table and include roles held and their corresponding responsibilities along with the time period and role name. Get the letter signed by your colleague and get it notarized
Include offer letter and subsequent promotion letters for each of the roles listed
Include pay slips from each of the periods

Declaimer: This was exactly what I have done and my application is in progress. I'm hopeful I'll be through. I suggest you use your discretion and pickup what you think is appropriate, from what I listed above.

I've been in the same company since the start of my career. I was an associate test engineer when I joined my company in May 2011. Within an year my title changed to associate software engineer and right now my designation is senior software engineer. However in my work history I've added only entry for NOC 2173, with current title Senior Software Engineer and selected date from May 2011 till now. Is that right or should I break down the entries based on designations although I've been in the same company?
