Questions on Child Benefits for parents on work permit

Please let me know the responses for below queries,

1. A child born in canada for non canadian parents. Father has work permit and is working in an IT company. Mother is in dependent visa. Can we claim the child benefits?
2. A child born out of canada for non canadian parents and brought to canada after 10 months.Father has work permit and is working in an IT company. Mother is in dependent visa. Can we claim the child benefits?

Yes for both - as long as you have lived in Canada for the previous 18 months.

Query:

3. I came to Toronto 18 months before but went for 2 months vacation in the middle. Do I have to wait 2 more months? or Am I already eligible as I came to Toronto 18 months before on Dec 2013.

4. Also, after 5 months of applying & receiving the child benefits, if my wife & child are going back home for 6 months and again coming back to toronto after 6 months. Can I still claim the child benefits as i will be working in toronto only..

3. To the best of my knowledge you will have to wait two more months.
4. You can only claim CCTB for the months they are living in Canada. You'll need to contact CRA and stop the CCTB payments while they are out of the country. If you fail to stop the payment while they are out of the country, will come after you later for receiving payments you were not entitled to receive.
