Hi everyone, just got a few questions asking about applying for PR as a chef.

I am currently working in a city that I was graduated at with a commerce bachelor degree. And I am working as a Chef in a Korean resturant now.
The case is I do not have a certificate as a Chef, all I have is Food Safety Certificate. And I was trained for a period of time to be a chef in this resturant.
Just wondering am I able to apply for PR as a chef with Express Entry or any other ways I can do in this case? Is is neccessary to have a chef certificate if I would like to apply for PR as a chef?

Thank you for taking time! Your answers are valuable to me!!

You haven't stated whether you are in Canada (as a temporary resident) at this time.

If you are currently outside Canada and intend to apply for Permanent Residence, you can qualify for Express Entry ( or even Federal Skilled Trades Program) under the NOC 6321 (Chefs) or NOC 6322 (Cooks). You can choose the appropriate NOC based on the duties you actually performed in your place of employment. You will also need to demonstrate at least one to three years of experience in the same NOC.

You can check additional professional requirements on the below links:

Good luck!

I am currently living in Canada now. I already worked for 1 year and wanted to apply it now as a chef. I checked the job duties and it's basically the same, just I do not have any chef certificate. I am worried that it will be the problem. Anyway thank you for the information!
