There is no need for one or two way if you are driving up and down to cross the boarder from USA.

Hi,

If it is to show IO as a supporting proof of your return to US you need only one way ticket to the destination.

FYI!

There is no legal obligation to have a return ticket. However, Govt of Canada strongly recommends you to have a return ticket if you are planning to stay less than one year in Canada. It will confirm your intention to stay in Canada temporarily.
