I have just received ITA for express entry with 481 points.

I have filled up my online application and have a few questions at some points.

Questions

1) Old passport to be mentioned?
2) Education history : I have put Masters, Bachelors and Higher Secondary Certificate. But WES is only done for Masters. Should I mention all or just Masters?

3) Under work history : I am showing only 1 employment from sep'10 to apr'14 under NOC 2171. Since then, I have been traveling and hence no employment. But under personal history, I have to show something from may'14 until present. Here i am showing "educational" and mentioning activity as 'Traveling'.Does it seem ok? What should be mentioned for unemployed period??

4) Travel history: Requirement is
" Provide details of any trips **my name** has taken outside his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since his/her 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. You can tell us about each trip by filling in the fields below. "

So I am showing all my travels except Singapore(country of residence) and India (country of origin). Is that ok?

5) ." Has **my name**, and if applicable, **my name** family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. "

The underlined part shows applicants in joint application right? For me there are none. So I am showing only my history. Ok?

FYI: I am on the exact boat, I got 481 as well and applying this year. So, your guess is as good as mine. But I have been going through forums and looking into stuff since last year so I *might* be helpful.

Questions

1) Old passport to be mentioned? Not sure where you would mention this, probably not required but no harm done right?
2) Education history : I have put Masters, Bachelors and Higher Secondary Certificate. But WES is only done for Masters. Should I mention all or just Masters?WES is done for bachelors as well, I would recommend it but a lot of people believe it won't make a difference. So it's your call really.

I read that a few people are putting it as "Employment" and under description "Unemployed, travelling". It makes sense as they won't add it to your points anyway.

Hi guys

I am in the same boat.. 481 points from Singapore. The online form asks for Police certificate in the next steps.
How to get police certificate from Singapore. The CID in Singapore needs a requisition letter from the canada embassy in order to start the police clearance process.

How should one go about it?

Hey rhea,

I stayed in SG as well for some years and I guess we have same profile.

For SG, police certificate seems not required upfront. Only AFTER u make the PR application.
CIC will apparently generate a request form to be submitted to SG Police. They will directly sent Police Cert to CIC, NOT U.

I have another post for this

Hey

Thanks for the prompt reply!
I have a few more doubts.

1. India PPC - Since I am currently residing in Singapore, the Indian embassy here requires a requisition letter too from the canada embassy in order to issue a PPC. Should I show my ITA invitation letter to them ?

2. Dubai PPC - I stayed in dubai for a total of 6 months or even less (more like 5 and half months). Should I try to obtain a PPC from Dubai too?

India PCC - U can approach embassy right away. Don't think u need any appeal letter.

Dubai: Only required if u have 6 or more months of CONSECUTIVE STAY.

In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18.

I checked with the Indian embassy in Singapore.. and they require a requisition letter from the canada embassy to issue a PCC :o :o

I have mailed canada immigration.. lets wait and watch

Thanks for this thread, I had similar questions before finding this thread. Im based in SG and recently got ITA and preparing for submission.

Can someone confirm on PCC from Indian Embassy, do we need letter from CIC or we can use ITA to get PCC from embassy ?

thanks
