Yes. CIC will tell you if and when you need to get one.

2. for passport, only bio page needed? is permit ( study/work permit) needed?

If CIC asks you only for the bio page(s), provide that. If they ask for anything else, provide those.

3. do i need to attach IELTS copy although it is not mentioned in the checklist?

Not needed. If you still want to upload, do it along with education documents.

4. do i need to upload nomination letter?

If you don't find a placeholder, upload it in some placeholder and mention that in the LOE.

5. for employer rl, is business card required? the instruction did not mention it.

Not mandatory. If your letter has the required contact details, that would suffice.

anyone can help? thanks in advance

I am uploading docs and checking my application right now. I just found a weird thing happening. In the official languages section, I choose

"Can xxx communicate in English and/or French? "
I choose English, but then...

"Has XXX taken an approved language test to assess their French skills?"

Thoughts?

Appears to be the most recent technical glitch to hit EE. This was being discussed elsewhere in the forum as well.

I am waiting for a last document, that will arrive next week, and hope that it will be fixed by that time. If not I will assume, that by French they mean English ;) and will provide comment in the LOE.

I know we should provide only that info/docs that we are asked for. But I went through the "rejection reasons" thread, went through the CIC/EE guide, went through my application "?" and "!" boxes, and some of the info is conflicting and stand in contradiction. What should I follow? I.e the education part - should I provide the scan of WES ECA or not? Passport - only the bio or the stamped pages (if I recall correctly I've seen somebody being rejected for providing only the bio page). I mean, I don't mind scanning all I have...

Also, I have translations. Do you think it makes any difference in what order are the docs scanned? I mean i.e for edu part - original doc-translation-wes, or the other way around wes-translation-doc?

For the proof of funds, I assume I should have the bank statement show my local currency?

For the employment, one of my reference letters is not stamped (it is signed by the supervisor) and does not have his direct phone# or email address (against the policy), but has a reception number so anybody can reach him via the reception. Do u see any issues here?

for education, i upload WES+original+translation
for passport, i upload stamped pages. full version exceeds 4MB....

for the last 2 questions, i am not sure either. i think i will upload bank statement(last 4 months)+financial profile(over last 6 months)+2014NOA...i am not sure if that is enough.

hi asivad, would you mind to fix our confusion? thanks

Provide the ECA report, no harm done. As for the passport, upload whatever CIC asks for - just the bio pages or stamps/markings as well.

Also, I have translations. Do you think it makes any difference in what order are the docs scanned? I mean i.e for edu part - original doc-translation-wes, or the other way around wes-translation-doc?

Doesn't matter. Just ensure you have uploaded ECA report, degree certificate(s) and translations where needed.

For the proof of funds, I assume I should have the bank statement show my local currency?

It will show the local currency. The conversion rate as on that date is factored in for calculations. Keep a little extra above the minimum required.

For the employment, one of my reference letters is not stamped (it is signed by the supervisor) and does not have his direct phone# or email address (against the policy), but has a reception number so anybody can reach him via the reception. Do u see any issues here?

Shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Asivad,

I have a quick question regarding the EE PNP DOCUMENT CHECKLIST AND would be really great if you can help!

I got ITA through EE PNP, however even when I said "YES" to the "PNP" question in the application details, the UPLOAD DOCUMENTS checklist never asked me about the PNP certificate to upload, I am just worried if its the case with all the EE PNP applications or exclusively mine?

any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hello gur1122,

I have also my ITA under PNP and there's no specific placeholder asking to upload provincial nomination certificate. However, I believe if you already have your certificate then you can upload it in the section for LOE.

Hi,

While filling Permanent Residency form, I have come across following question..

Has "Applicant's Spouse" ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

My wife applied for B1 visa for USA back in 2009 (when we were not married), she had different name and passport number. During her interview at the embassy, her application was refused on the grounds that "she is single and has no travel experience"..

They did not stamp, or provided a refusal letter, or anything hard evidence...

I am the principal applicant. If I reply YES, to the above question on my partners portfolio, I am assuming I have to submit a LOE (letter of explanation); but the issue is, I have no evidence to indicate the reason for refusal, or even show the refusal itself...US embassy people did not give her anything at the time...

How should I proceed?

What form is this, the online application? There is a section on statutory questions which your spouse needs to fill in. So she would have to answer yes to being refused entry to another country.

I would definitely answer yes and try to explain exactly what resulted in this. But surprising that they would refuse her entry for the reason listed. Was there more to this?

Not sure if it goes back to 2009, but I do know that Canada and the US share their immigration information. It is highly likely that CIC will be aware of the refusal.
