Hello all and thanks in advance for your advice.
I'm currently filling out the documents with my wife to sponsor her. We currently live together in Canada and she is working here full time at a company under an open work permit.
We know that the outland application has the advantage of being faster and we may have the ability to leave the country if needed. Also, she still has more than a year left on the permit so the open work permit on the inland application is not needed. What we don't understand is how to actually apply for outland.
At what point does the application become inland vs outland?
Under "Class of application" on the IMM 5533, do we simply check "I am currently living outside of Canada, and I am applying under the family class"? Does it matter that our joint address is in Canada?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
