Questions about proof of funds at the point of entry

I have two questions regarding proof of funds at the ponint of entry.

1. For one person I have to declare that I have $12,300 to support myself. Can I show $10,000 on the bank statement and $2,300 in cash when I will be doing my landing at the border?

2. How to show the funds that I have in Canadian bank? Can I just print a printscreen of my bank balance page after I log onto bank account online or do I have to show official statement stamped and signed by bank? I called my bank (in Canada) and they told me that they can only issue the proof of funds document if I show up in person in the bank. But how am I supposed to do that if I am abroad now and will be comming back to do my landing process?

You posted this question in the Canadian Experience Class forum. Are you aware that Proof of Funds is not required for CEC applicants?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1145&top=29

"Note: You do not have to meet the funds requirement if you were invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class.

The system currently asks all applicants to provide a proof of funds document. If you don’t need to provide proof of funds, you must upload a letter explaining either that you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, or that you have a valid job offer."

If I am not mistaken the proof of funds is not required for Canadian Experience Class program under Express Entry, but for the applicants who applied for CEC under the old rules (before the launch of Express Entry) the proof of funds was (and is) still required.

No, even under old rules, POF was not required for CEC class.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to include it if you have it (and some VOs at the border ask for it anyway because they are not familiar with the CEC exclusion). Combination of bank account and cash are fine.

As for the refusal of your bank to issue the letter (I'm sure they've heard it before), you can use the online printout.

Are you sure that there was no proof of funds requirement under old CEC stream? I think that only people who had arranged employment didnt have to show proof of funds but all the other applicants were required.

I am sure because I was one of those : )

The guidance for pre-EE is still online - the OP25A. But I suspect that you won't be happy with the fact that there is NO mention of proof of funds.

Hi

I applied for pr under cec in aug 2014(before Express Entry). I got my COPR in Dec 2016.
I am planning to do landing in April 2017.
I would like to know if immigration officers ask about Proof of funds at the time of landing.

Can anyone who has recently done the landing help me with this.
