Hi, I was wondering, I am going to sponsor my wife from costa rica to Canada outland, and wanted to know, do the proof of relationship stuff (pictures, chatlogs, emails, love letters etc.) have to be attached with the sponsorship application or with the immigration papers? this is probably a stupid question but would like it answered lol...

The documentation is part of the "Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionaire" and is therefore part of the immigration application. They are both mailed to the CIC together, though so the only difference is in how you organize it.

yea i mean, i almost got everything done, I just don't know how to organize it, can some of u guys give me tips!

Well here's what I did.

We put the sponsorship app and all apropriate documentation regarding sponsorship on the top with a paperclip around it. After that was the applicant's check list and the documents requested in the same order as on the checklist - multiple page documents stapled together and the whole immigrant section paper clipped. The supporting documentation wasn't really the right size to be clipped to anything since there were photos and whatnot so that stuff was in an envelope labled "Supporting Documentation" at the end. I also put on the "Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionaire" to see the envelope labeled "Supporting Documentation" for more info on appropriate questions. Then a binder clip around the whole thing total.

Does that help?

I basically did the same thing as Giggles. The only difference, I had small sticky tabs sticking out from each section and wrote, Sponsor Information, Applicant Information, and Supporting Documentation on each tab.

thanks guys, that really helped, anyone else got any other suggestions?

I got three portfolio envelopes, one for sponsor, one for applicant and one for the evidence.
