Okay so im coming to canada in june and my intentions are to be there on vacation and find a school that i could apply later in my life to. So the question is am i allowed to look for schools while being there on a visitors visa? i have enough funds to support my stay there without having to work, i have some ties back to my home country. I also come from a visa exempt country

yes of course you can look at schools if you want!

btw... the ties you mention above may not be strong enoug (except for the job). The BEST ties to show are a lease/mortgage/deed and paystubs/work contract. CBSA does NOT consider cars, family and belongings as strong ties.

i'm not sure, though i'd lean toward no, because technically you can take the money out and have it sent to you in canada. the bank account will prove you can support yourself while there.

you said you have a job, so just bring recent paystubs, and you should be ok!

How long are you going to stay in Canada?

A few months, the lady from the embassy said that Finnish citizens can stay there for up to 6 months without really any trouble.
