Dear PMM, and other members,
I have received my Canadian immigration visa and it expires on 28th August. I am planning to make an entry to Canada before that to get my PR card. The problem is I can not stay more than 2-3 weeks as I have a job at my home country. Here is what I plan to do:
1- I will land in Canada and leave address of a friend there
2- I will stay in Canada for 2.5 weeks just in case they need something from my side for PR Card e.g. photos
3- I will manage to have someone bring my PR card to home country once it has arrived
Questions I have:
1- Is it legal to carry someone's PR card outside Canada?
2- How long generally it takes to receive PR card?
3- What are some additional documents they might ask for my PR card? I have heard they often ask to come by for new photos. So can I make sure I give them the right ones at Airport or perhaps leave some prints with my friend if needed
Thank You,
Ahsan
