question regarding visitor visa checklist !

Hello, my in laws are planning to visit me in Canada this summer. they are living in Germany (PR's) but are Turkish citizens. On the visitor visa checklist there are a couple things they aren't understanding the meaning of. Firstly: "Proof of financial Support. You must include proof that you can support yourself and any family members accompanying you while you are in Canada." Does this mean they should provide a photocopy of pay cheque?
Secondly, the bullet that says "Purpose of travel" and next to it says "Note: refer to the responsible visa office in your region" what do they mean by that and what should be required for the purpose of travel? are the asking for a letter stating why they are coming to visit?

Your parents will have to provide proof of all their assets to show they can finance their trip to Canada as well as show strong enough ties to prove they will return to their home country. The slight complication is that they are living in a 3rd country. Hopefully they have a longterm work permit of status in Germany.

No, my in laws have been living and working in Germany since they were in their early 20's. My mother in law living there since she was 8. No problems there! -- And how can my in laws provide proof of all their assets to show they can finance their trip? can you give me suggestions on what they can supply as proof? Additionally what can they provide as proof that they will return to Germany? A letter of some sort?

We are planning to invite my husband’s mother as visitor visa but she has no work history and proof of financial income except the financial support from my husband and his siblings. They do have property under her name.

Is there still be a chance of her getting approval if she has $5000 in the bank without work or business?

If she has property in her name, you can put that as hometies.
I am not sure what duration are you inviting her for, some people say it's $1000 per week. I am not sure if it's true. But you can show all of hers and yours bank statements.
