Hi Once again,
I have a few questions regarding Settlement funds

1) What is the expected settlement fund for a person applying from India?
2) Should the proof be shown for the same while applying itself?
3) Heard that if there is an arranged Employment there is no need for these funds. If so how to go for it.
4) Is there any other altenative for Settlement funds?

Cheers!

Whether applying from India or elsewhere the quantum of POF remains the same. It is,
Funds Required :
CAD
-$ 10,833 (1, Self only)
-$ 13,486 (2 Family Members)
-$ 16,580 (3 Family Members)
-$ 20,130 (4 Family Members)
-$ 22,831 (5 Family Members
-$ 25,749 (6 Family Members)
-$ 28,668 (7 or More Family Members)

There is no alternative to the foregoing & yes, for an AEO case u needn't be bothered with the POF.

Hey,
After submitting my bank statements, do I have to keep the enough fund in my account? Will visa office track my account afterward? I can ensure to have enough fund for landing if approval though.

THanks

You never know what they are doing and at what time... play safe and don't make any mistake now on final steps. If money is your own and there is no any urgent issue for take out/use it... I will recommend don't touch even after getting visa , because you have to "Possible" show funds' exactly same amount on Landing too.

Re: Question regarding Settlement Funds- Senior members in need of help.

Thank you All,
Currently I have as Liquid cash of around half of the required amount of $ 10,833 in my account.
My question is what all could be added to boost this amount?

Can we show Insurance / Gold jwellery / property / Gift from Parents as POF?

Experineced memebers please help me out.

Thanks

Dear Symphony,

While at the applying stage, a 'certified valuation report' of Jewellery & Property would do. But, the Insurance & Parental Gift wouldn't. However, during or pre medical stage the CHC shall again ask u for the 'latest POF'; that time 'only' funds in 'liquid format' will be acceptable.

Which can be Currnet/Savings account statements, FDs, Shares/Bonds etc. in one or multiple a/cs, belongng to u and/or your accompanying spouse/family members.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Dear gorax,
From where jewallary (gold)report should get.that is to whom show jewallary and get report which cic will accept.

Can we also show Provident Fund amount as proof ?

IF so do I need to liquidate that too during showing the proof during medicals ?

From any 'Certified Valuer' firm of repute, in your city.

HAPY NEW YEAR !

Hi All,

I sent mailto CHC New Deli and enquired about if I can show Prof of Fund as Property, Car, Jewellery by evaluating the same.

And I received reply as Positive.

See below:
Dear Sir/Madam,

"This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

You may get your assest evaluated by Chartered accountant and submit the CA's valuation report as a present proof of funds alongwith other documents.

We trust that this information will be of assistance."

this is what one of the applicant got as a reply from delhi..regarding property!!!!

i hope it will help all the other people who are confused abt POF

1. Yes, PF can be shown too, initially.
2. Yes, it also needs to be liquidated & deposited into your bank a/c, while landing.

Hi all,
One of the applicant Zebra written in this forum that propertly, car, jewellery can be shown as proof of fund in CHC, ND. Is it true?

If it is true then it is great news for me as I still short of some funds. We have a residential plot in the name of my husband, a car and jewellery also. But I have learnt from the forum for ND, CHC liquid funds are required and I am trying hard to arrange them.

PMM, Rupeshhari, Leoun qurox, Sanjeev etc. please advice urgently.
