Hi all, I recently started working in a chicken packaging company. I have a few questions:
1) Is chicken packer considered a food-processing job, which would make it semi-skilled?
2) If yes, would I get more points for having a diploma earned in BC? Because there is no requirement for a diploma or degree for the semi-skilled category, I am afraid that I will not get points for that.
3) I get paid minimum wage, $14, will that affect my application even if I have enough points (according to my calculation, after working 1 year here I will have 80 points, if I get points for my diploma).
4) Is it safer to hire a lawyer to process my application, or is it okay to do it myself?
Please let me know if anyone knows the answers to these.
