Question Regarding return of documents submitted for Candian PR Process

Hello All,

Question: Has Anyone gotten their application documents submitted for Canadian PR returned?

I am on a h1b visa in the US and have gone through the Canadian PR Application process in the last couple of years and have received my passport from Detroit Consulate in Jan 2013. I was told by Campbell Cohen law firm which had handled my application that my documents would be returned. I need some of the original Documents Like my original transcripts from India.

July 2011 - Documents submitted for Canadian PR including original transcripts, work experience letter, degrees, etc.

December 2012 - Passport sent to Detroit Consulate

Jan 2013 - Received Passport with landing visa for Canada

The Detroit consulate is now closed. I have sent emails to

LA Consulate : lngls@international.gc.ca

NY Consulate : newyork-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Any Suggestions?

Anyone in a similar boat?

They return it back, are you saying they were never returned and you are trying to inquire from a close consulate?

I never got my documents which were submitted for processing. I got my passport back and my PR Finalized.
