I have a question regarding qualifications and work experience. My situation is extremely complicated so I'll just summarize it.
- I went to the US when I was 12 years old. I'm 24 years old now.
- I completed one year of middle school(8th grade) and 4 years of high school(9th to 12th) in New York.
- I was pursuing a associates degree in Computer Science at Queensborough Community College in New York
- My student visa got expired because of failure to maintain enough credits per semester. The reason was because I was also working a 9 to 5 job and could only take evening classes.
- I returned back to India August of last year.
- I do not currently have a degree in any field. Only 3 years of work in Computer Science. No degree or diploma.
- I want to switch my career track from Computer Science to Culinary(Chef/Cooking).
- I have been working at a hotel since June of this year.
- I applied to Humber Institute of Canada for a 1 year Culinary Skills Certificate Program and was accepted.
- I wasnt required to take IELTS or any other examinations since I was part of the American Educational system for 7 years.
- I have an offer letter from the Hotel I'm currently working stating that I've been working with them as a trainee and that I have paid full-time employment upon my return back to India and completion of the certificate program.
My question is that is this enough proof to show that I have work experience and qualifications in the field that I'm working?
Thanks for the help.
