QUESTION REGARDING POLICE CLEARANCE

HEY GUYS,
READY TO APPLY FOR PR UNDER CEC, DETAILS ARE BELOW
CAME TO CANADA IN JAN 2010 AND TILL DATE NEVER BEEN BACKTO INDIA, SO MY QUESTION WHEN THEY ARE ASKING ABOUT POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES DO I HAVE TO GET IT FROM INDIA AND CANADA BOTH OR ONLY INDIA. LOT OF CONFUSION. INDIAN CONSULATE IN TORONTO WERE SAYING THAT YOU WILL GET IT WITHIN 7 DAYS IF EVERYTHING IN RECORDS OK AND WILL BE VALID FOR 3 MONTHS OR SO. PLANNING TO APPLY ON FEBRUARY STARTING SO WHEN SHOULD I GET IT.? PLZ REPLY AND THANKS IN ADVANCE

Bahadur30, did u submit PCC app @ indian embassy or with VFS?

PCC for last few months can only be submitted at VFS...Embassy stopped taking it .. Last year ..I could submit at CGI and it was faster ...

bahadur30, that is correct. I read it on the CGI website too. DId u try calling VFS, if yes, what are they saying about the delay?

yes, I did apply but without the PCC. Didn't want to wait for the PCC. WIll attach it later to the app.

I have applied on Nov 12 and consulate has received on 14th. I have to sent the documents and medicals to India before Jan 5th. not sure when I will get my PCC and they are holding up the passport too. Can you please let me know you got that in 10 working days or 10 days including sat and sun? also please let me know the date when you applied and for which state in India?
