Hope someone can provide clarification on the following query.

Post ITA while filling out personal history, they don’t ask for specific dates. So here is my dilemma.

3 years back i went to Canada on visitor visa. I came back on 24th oct. so the stamp on my passport for arrival is 24th oct.
Now I joined my a new job on 2 November. So personal history says till oct I am on vacation and November onwards I have an employment.

My question is As my travel history would provide them with exact dates. Would CIC be asking about what I did from 24th oct to 2 nov. if yes then how do I mention this on personal history section?

Travel history can have gaps. In personal history just mention the time period until November 2 as vacations not October and thn mention your job period November onwards. Good luck.

So you are saying apart from June to October vacation in Canada I should create another entry and write October to November vacation in India and November till date employment because there is no option to mention dates as such , you can only mention months.

Yes, that is correct. Two entries for your vacations “June to October” in Canada and “October to November” in India. And then write “November to whatever” for your Job.

Oh cool. So going by that logic should I do the same thing with departure dates as well. I left job on 5th June , went to Canada on 11 the June. Currently my personal history says till June employment, June to October vacation. So do I need to create third entry for June (more precisely 6-10 June) as unemployed?

You may. In my experience, IRCC love details so it doesn’t matter if you are being explanatory in your application.
