Hello,

I will be applying for PR under CEC in a week or so. I have completed three part-time courses from UfT- SCS for Accounting Level 1. Here's the duration for each course:

Accounting 1: 2 months (fall 2012)

Economics: 4 months ( Winter 2013)

Business Law: 4 months (Fall 2013)

All these courses were registered separately. I could have completed these courses in 6 months duration if I had taken the last two courses together in either Winter or Fall. I want to know if this is considered a violation of imposed conditions on work permit. The condition states that unless authorized, I'm prohibited from taking any vocation, academic or professional training courses. But on CIC website, it states that if a course or program is 6 months or less in duration, no study permit is required.

Before taking these courses I checked with UfT, they said they don't check or require a study permit to take courses; its the responsibility of a student to check. I have curtailed taking any further courses since last year. I spoke to CIC call centre agent on this issue recently, he told me to apply for PR and explain to the processing officer if they ask in case. I'm wondering if this is the right approach or should I just include a cover letter explaining my situation. Or should I even mention in the application that I have taken these courses? Please advise. Thanks.
