We applied for my husbands PR application close to the end if Dec 2019 and after one year and almost two months a decision hasnt been made.
This is the timeline of events:

1. received application for permanent residence on December 27, 2019.
2. sent correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 12, 2020.
3. started processing application on November 19, 2020.
4. We sent you a letter on January 28, 2020. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
5. sent you medical instructions on November 20, 2020. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
6. Medical results have been received
   
   They also requested for additional documents which was emailed on Jan 22, 2021. How long do you guys think will take for a final decision to be made

Average outland processing times are around 17 months right now due to COVID-19. So that gives you a general idea - but of course each application is different.

When they request additional documents, this can sometimes further delay your application.
