Can you guys help me read my notes, I am trying to hold my horses and not get excited too soon so I am sharing a screenshot of what I think would be relevant and key notes.

I applied on 7 August 2020
Biometrics Instruction Letter on 18 August 2020
AIP on 16 September.
Applied for GCMS visa thegcmsonline.com on 28 September and received it today 29 October.

Furthermore, for some reason the funds field (in GCMS) shows less than what I actually have in my bank account or to be precise - they entered the same amount but in Canadian dollars while it is in USD. It is also mentioned " 1 Year " in the duration of my program while in fact it is a two years program. Should I reach out via web form and highlight that?

Also, while it shows that criminality is passed, Security was cancelled a few times, why would that be?

TIA

The good news is that there is already Passport request on your file. Its on hold at the moment. Once they reaccess your file, they will release the PPR for you.

Thank you very much for your input. i was not sure if that passport request page was there by default since the status is "not started" or if this page is there because they approved my visa.

Congratulations! Told you.

Did you apply from turkey?
No, I applied from Egypt.
the passport request was generated same day as AIP, so it is not there by default for sure
I thought the same but you know when you don’t want to get excited unless you’re 100% positive?

Congratulations! Told you.
Thank you, elhamdullah! Do you think I should let them know about the discrepancies I highlighted above or better not?

If they see you as eligible with that information then you shouldn't worry. The 1 year showing in your GCMS notes often indicates that you'll need to renew your permit after a year for the following year.

Is that the usual practice? Getting 1 year permit and then renewing later on?

I have no idea but I guess sometimes students don't pass their first year and so they stall in the same academic year, making their study period more than x years, others change program and DLI so I think it makes sense to make the validity of a study permit one year per renewal.
