Hi everyone!

I currently reside in Canada and I am about to pay my fees for my outland permanent residency application (because outland is quicker). However, I wanted to clarify which fees to pay and which section to pay under.

When on the 'pay your fees' section of the CIC website, under the category of Permanent Residence, it gives the options of paying the 'Right of Permanent Resident fee - Paying from inside Canada' or 'Right of Permanent Resident fee - Paying from outside Canada'.

1. I know this might seem like a stupid question but I just wanted to clarify that I need to pay the 'Right of Permanent Resident fee - Paying inside Canada' even though I'm applying outland?

2. I also wanted to check with everyone if this breakdown of the fees are correct:

1 X Sponsorship application fee - $75.00
1 X Principle applicant fee - $475.00
1 X Spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner fee - $550.00
1 X Right of Permanent Residence Fee - $490.00

= $1590.00 Does this seem right?

Thank you in advance for the clarification :)

Hi Christian,

If you are the only person being sponsored, by your spouse, or common-law partner...here's an `instant coupon' to use. :)

The total is only $1040 ($75+ $475+ $490).

In your case, you are the principle applicant and the spouse or common-law partner combined.

Regarding the RPRF question...I got nothing, since it seems a bit confusing to me as well.

Good luck!

If you live in Canada and you are paying the RPRF then you would select "paying inside Canada". That is what I did and all was okay :)

So just to clarify, I don't have to pay the $550 spouse, common law or conjugal partner fee?

You only have to pay this

1 X Sponsorship application fee - $75.00
1 X Principle applicant fee - $475.00
1 X Right of Permanent Residence Fee - $490.00

Total 1040.00 as per what Ponga said

That fee is only applicable if the spouse/partner of the Principal Applicant is ALSO being sponsored, such as in parent or grandparent sponsorship.
