My friend is few weeks short of 104 weeks Canadian experience which is technically not considered as 2 years of work experience. Now the problem is the system gives him points for 2 years. My question if he gets an ITA and when an officer anaylse his case and he finds that he is shy by few weeks officer may reject his case or lower his points.

His current points are 469 with 2 years experience and if officer consider his experience as 1 year then he may lose 15 points in that case his score becomes 454. Now let's say if the threshold tends to be 455 then he will get an ITA and if officer will take his experience as one year he will be kicked out from that pool. So in that case what he can do. Because every time he will make his profile with his current experience he would end up with 469 points because that's how system is working. It is only taking months and not considering weeks. So that means until threshold doesn't drop to 454 he can't get an ITA.

So what should he do

The system only takes up Month and consider 2 years complete. In case you receive an ITA before you actually complete 2 years try sending your application after the completion of 2 yrs or decline and wait for another Draw. Don't do anything with your application right now and let be with 469 points.

Looking to recent draws the 2 yrs will be completed when you get ITA

Good Luck

First of all i am not talking about myself but for a friend of mine. Secondly, i forgot to mention that after accumulating 100 weeks of experience his work permit expired and he left canada for permanently. So there is no way he can get 104 weeks but system is still treating his application as if he has 2 years

I would say your friend can just try out his luck. He has nothing to lose here. He has maximized his experience anyways. Some people got PR with that chance, some doesn't; it all depends on the VO who processes the case.

On the website it is only mentioned applicant has to finish 12 months. And your friend will always award those points , and if he changes his profile to not gain those points. It would treat as misinterpretation... So I say your friend should just try
