Hi everyone my name is Estuardo Dacaret Im from Guatemala and about close to 15 months ago I started the pr application (outland family sponshorship). My wife is Canadian, my 3 kids have citizenship, but still haven't processed the Canadian passport (they have Guatemala passport)

I just received an email informing me the permanent residence application is almost complete and that I need to complete the following steps in 30 days.

In step 2 (because I require a visa to enter Canada) they want me to provide passport or travel document of me and all accompanying family members. Do I send all my family passports even though my kids passports are from Guatemala or should I first process their Canadian Passport and send those?
Also at the end they tell me my visa will expire on 2017/11/25, does this mean I have to arrive in Canada before that date?

Thank you very much

If you wont get the canadian passports before the 30 day deadline i would send an explanation note with them and any evidence of the canadian passport applicatiin

Your Canadian children are not accompanying family members. You do not submit passports for them.

Yes, you need to land in Canada before that date.

Is your visa Office in Mexico? I sent my passport to Mexico 15 days ago, and there is no news yet.
I wonder what about if passport got lost by the carrier or got to a different location ???

How could he bring his children in on guatemalan passports without an issue?

Did you send with a safe courier? Like DHL, Fedex? Do you have a track number or something to follow on their website?

But you still can inquire information from them to see if they delivered at the destination... Don't wait for too long as 15 days out of 30 are gone in case (hope to God not) you need time to fix the situation!! Good luck to you?!

thank you canuck

my wife as well as my kids are Canadian citizens, yet like I said my kids still don't have their Canadian passport, but we'll be processing it in the next couple of days and supposedly it take around 40 days.

With respect to their recent request

ON STEP 2

They ask me if I I require a visa to enter Canada or not? I'm guessing I do so then I only send my passport along with various other requests?.
Also my passport expires in December, it would be good idea if I renew it right?

Please help me with these questions

thank you

Yes, you require a visa.

You don't need to renew it.

I choose DHL and according to the tracking service passport arrived to Mexico City on May 17 but someone else told me is too soon to worry about, cause there has been a couple of National Holidays in Mexico so I will wait and send an inquiry probably next week. Thanks for your respond

100% sure you do not have to submit your wife's passport. Now for the kids, do they need a visa to enter Canada? If so, you should apply for a visa for them and submit their passports.
Another thing you may do is submit your passport for now, get the visa for yourself, and wait till your children get their Canadian passports, then you can travel with them without having to worry about their visas.

Thank you

So for now I should send my passport, address in Canada were Ill live and the other requirements (no need to send other passports then), while here in Guatemala I process my kids Canadian passports (they'll take I believe around a month) and then I just wait for both things: that is from Canada they send me the visa with the passport I sent them and my kids passport in Guatemala?

thanks

As already stated, the children are Canadian citizens and therefore do not qualify for a visa.

Yes.
