Question on Work experience points? Points given across multiple NOCs?

I am just wondering about the points allocation for work experience....

If I have 1 year of experience in my primary job occupation and then another 1 year in another completely different occupation (both with completely different duties) , but both occupations are within the same NOC group (although only one occupation is going down as my primary "intended" occupation in Canada), does that mean I will get points for 2 years of work experience (11 points) or only points for the primary one (9points)?

And what about if I also have another 2 years (full-time,continuous) experience in another job that is listed in another NOC (which is still a skill level A NOC), but that NOC is not one of the 50 listed for this year's FSW? Will I still get points for that 2 years of skilled work too?

So basically I am wondering if I will: * get points for all 4 years of work experience? ( 2 x 1 year + another 2 years )?
* Or will it just be 2 x 1 year for the 2 jobs in my primary NOC?
* Or... will it just be 1 x 1 year for the primary occupation in my primary NOC?

I mean, will I still get points for work experience that is in different occupations or different NOCs ( not in the 50 for FSW'14), if it is skill-level-A work experience, even if it is not in my primary occupation that I am putting on my application?

this is my personal opinion, and this may not be fully correct.

As it is said to have 1 year of full time equivalent work experience in any one of the 50 occupations, so from your 1 year jobs, you'll definitely get 9 points for one. and since, both are different jobs with different roles, CIC may not consider it as 2 years.

its mandatory to have work experience from any one of the 50 occupations listed for this FSW 2014.....

Hi,

Refer to
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

Factor 3: Work experience (maximum of 15 points)

"You will receive points for the number of years of full-time paid work (or the equivalent in part-time paid work) you have obtained within the last ten years. Full-time means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week.

You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in the primary occupation you specify in your application.

In order to receive points for all of the jobs you have had over the past ten years, your work experience must be in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011. Follow the Determining your NOC category instructions above to find the NOC 2011 category that matches your skilled work experience over the past ten years."

If you have proper documented proof including job description letter for all your jobs which fall under Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B , you will get points for all of your experience. One year experience in any one of 50 occupations is the basic qualifying criteria.

A+ for the explanation. Thank you. Finally a response that is direct to the point.

so by 'primary occupation', that is 'intended occupation in Canada' ? ie. Schedule 3 - Q.12 (a) ?
