Question on VISA Validity, POE LOI Validity and WP Validity

I apply for work permit, and I state in the letter of explanation that I will stay from 2016/06/22 TO 2016/09/15.

However, the issued trv is expired at 2016/08/31. The Port-of-Entry Letter of Introduction, or we say "Correspondence Letter", has a validity of 2016/08/31.


I am worrying whether the length of WP is also 2016/08/31. Does it mean that I need to extend my work permit after I come to Canada?

It's possible to get an extension for the remaining of your contract but a few questions come to mind. Is the date of expiry the date of your passport expiry ?
I don't see why you'll also need to extend since it's just 2 weeks. Could you speak to the Canada company about this ?
Could you please share your timeline and where you applied from ?

My passport expires about 7 years later.

My contract is a short one lasting for 12 weeks. Very temporary.


I apply from China. And I apply online.

OK. I do know for sure that you can apply for extension while I canada as I've read of people doing the same on this forum.

Ah... It is really expensive to pay a wp extension, it cost really a lot. I just want to stay for another 15 days.

While I don't want to resorted...
