Greetings!

My AOR is March 25th, 2016 and I'm hoping to get my PPR in a few weeks (fingers crossed!). I live in the united states and I'm planning to complete my landing in February 2017 by road. If and when I do get my PPR, Should I send my passport to the local VFS office or would I send it to Ottawa? Will they have these instructions in the ppr email?

Also, I plan to travel to south east Asian countries in the month of December for a vacation. Are there any restrictions on travel to other countries after receiving the PPR but before landing? Would they require additional police certificates since I might spend 2 weeks in some south east Asian countries?

Thanks in advance for the help! This forum has been a lifeline for me!

I'm sure you will get instructions in the email (i'm still awaiting ITA so can't say specifically), but if you have an Indian passport i remember reading on other threads that one cannot send it via mail outside the country so you would have to send it to the nearest VFS office within USA.

For travelling to certain countries.... at least from a police clearance perspective, it is only required if you stay somewhere for 6 months. Can't comment on other restrictions.

Police certificate is a non issue. As you only have to submit it if you visited a foreign country and stayed there for over 6 Months AND it was before you submitted your e-APR.

Since you have already submitted your application, you dont have to submit anything. Just make sure you are on the right side of the law. ;)

I also wonder about that, what did you decide to do ashwin? since cic wants all our travels in the last 10 years do we have to inform about these travels after AOR? and I also wonder about after PPR, does the visa have a time frame saying u cant enter after this date or sth like that?
