Hello folks,
I am in process for filing my citizenship application. I havent filed my 2021 taxes yet. Still waiting on some tax documents before I file it.
So far my tax answer looks like this

Required to file Filed
2021 Yes No
2020 Yes Yes
2019 Yes Yes
2018 Yes Yes
2017 No No

So, for folks filing between Jan-April, how do you handle the tax question. I have full intention file for taxes but just that there is still some time.
(Looking for any advice besides the "just file the taxes and then submit")
Thanks everyone

It is fine to go as is. You don’t have to wait to file taxes to submit the application.
You were required to file and for the previous three years you have filed so it is high probability that you WILL file for the last eligibility year.

Hello Akbardxb,

do you know if the NOA is required for citizenship application. i have filed my taxes for 2019, 2020 and 2021 (landed in 2019) and would be applying for citizenship next week but my taxes for 2021 are still in process. is a NOA required or as long as i filed my taxes, it should be ok to apply for citizenship. Thank you

You are not required to submit your NOA for citizenship application. Tick the applicable boxes on the application regarding taxes and confirm if you were required to file and whether you have filed or not. If you are required to file for the last year, but haven't filed yet, that is fine to go as is.
