Question on PGWP

Hi, I am a 2nd-year master student and had a Full-time intern last summer. Before the intern, I confirmed to my department that our summer is a scheduled break. However, the policy seems to have changed without formal notice since this year. (No students know when the new policy begins. Even now, I don’t know the start date of the new policy.) Will the change affect my PGWP eligibility?

Thank you for your reply. It is good for me to know that CIC also has some new policies. The new policy mentioned in my post is that my university no longer recognizes summer as a scheduled break for graduate programs. However, the office of graduate school has never officially announced this change, and we do not know when the new policy took effect. I am 100% sure that my department confirmed that summer is a scheduled break for my program before starting the full-time summer intern. Will the change in the Graduate School's office affect my eligibility for PGWP?
