Question on "offer of arranged employement in Canada"

Hi everyone,

I am currently holding work visa in Toronto (just started) and planning to apply for PR under federal skilled worker class. My offer is not confirmed by HRSDC.

The "offer of arranged employment" by definition requires "the employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if the application is successful". However, my offer only indicates the 3-year work period as intended to apply for work permit before I entered Canada. I don't think extending the employment after 3 years is a problem though. My question is would this situation count as offer of arranged employment?

If your employer is willing to write another job offer, you can apply under Cat 2, Arranged employment (there are 2 types of "arranged employment"). They have to put it in writing that you will have a permanent position if you obtain permanent residency. This does not have to go thru HRSDC, that is, you do NOT need an AEO from HRSDC. (Assume you have LMO now). "Permanent" is not a fixed-term contract, unfortunately. The offer does have to comply with the HRSDC definition of "permanent."
