Hi,
My wife and I have just successfully completed our interview at the Los Angeles Consulate in May 1. The visa officer advised us that our next step is to pay the RPRF x2, and to complete the medicals.
My wife has a clean medical history, I have had a brief history of Coronary artery Disease and have undergone an angiogram and stent implantation in 11/2003. Since then, my BP, heart rate, and cholesterol levels are all normal, plus my cardiologist has given me a rather reasurring prognosis.
WE completed our medicals on May 15th, and the panel doctor told me that the Canadian Ministry of Health may possibly send me a sealed letter requesting a more details on my condition, and could ask for a "workup" from my cardiologist. The panel doctor adivsed me to go ahead and get a letter of clean bill of health from my cardiologist and send that letter to the panel doctor, who will then forward it to the Mistry of Health--if they do ask for more info. I guess the panel wants me to get the test in order to save time.
Has anyone undergone the same situation? I feel that we are in the homestreach on getting our visas, and this would possibly our only "roadblock" hopefully just a minor one. Also is heart disease and inadmissable condition, or have they approved applicants with the same condition?
thanks for all your help!
