Question On Living in Canada and Working In The USA?

Hello,
I have a question... Is it possible to live in Windsor, Canada, and work in Detroit MI? I would like to live in Windsor and work in Detroit or Toledo?
If it's possible, how could this be achieved? Would I have to apply for a certain type of visa to live there? Also, I have a minor child, how would it work for education wise? I would like for him to attend school Windsor?

Any information would be helpful.

You would need to either have Canadian permanent residency or Canadian citizenship to do this.
