Question on GCMS notes

Hi Everyone,

So I got my GCMS notes.

And on the top it says:

Eligibility: in progress
Security: cancelled
criminality:cancelled
medical:cancelled

Temporary Resident status: Yes
Minimum Language proficiency :Met
Minimum level of education:
Required Work experience in canada: Met

Now my question is after how long should I expect the medicals when my GCMS notes look like this.
Because my file was "re-opened" does it effect the processing time for my file?

This was an update at CPPO on september 13.

What matters are the notes towards the back back written by officer. What do they say?

The notes say:

"It appears:- PA has qualifying employment at 0,A or B skill level for atleast 12 months in the last 36 months;-PA has Language proficiency at the required CLB level based upon NOC skill level;-Temporary resident staus was mantianed during the qualifying period of work.**It appears as though PA may have implied status.A study permit was issued in August in 2012 but PA states he never went to school or used the study permit because he had accepted a job at XXXX. He was on a valid work permit till September 27,2012.Visa office may wish to review PA's status in canada during the period of qualifying work experience.CEC REQUIREMENTS APPEAR TO BE MET.Letter of reference related to work experience on file-not verified To CPPO for further assessment/decision."

The above nites are from Sydney office.
I dont see any notes from CPPO. And it says application was last updated September 9 by CPPO.
And the above notes and eligibility assessment was done by Sydney office in August.

I believe the VO wants to verify if you were actually in school because you had a study permit. It seems everything else is okay, as long as you didn't go to school. Remember, one of the requirements is no school when accumulating work experience for CEC. Your file just needs to be approved by a senior officer.

Agreed, and thats fine as well. But I am just wondering if anybody could tell me what kind of time delay could this verification cause.

hi gimmeThatPR,

your application have been reopened (that is something you have to be thankfull for) then its forwarded to cpp-ottawa like the rest of the applications and it will be processed there according to its date of receipt.
cic still processing applications from november and december 2012 so you still have couple more months to wait for before you get your medical request hopefully.
remember the average processing time is around 12 months for the majority of applicants,if something is unclear with your application it will take longer due to review required.

Sorry for the stupid question but

1) What is GCMS notes ?

2) How did you checked it?

I assume its the online link which says - "Check application Status"

Mine says "Application received" when I log in and when I click on it, the next page opens which says your application for PR was received on XYZ date.
