I'm planning to apply for immigration to Canada through the federal skills program, as I have a degree and professional experience in one of the categories of the list published on May 2013.
My question is how deep is the verification process undergone by Canada's immigration office about the documentation I will send? For instance, I have to send letters about my job tasks, salary, etc; written by the responsible officer/supervisor of all the jobs I had in the last 10 years.
I was planning to ask Human Resources to write those letters, so I wonder, would they call my supervisor to further check about my job history and performance? I'm worried that if Canada's immigration office calls my current boss, he would just speak negatively about me, since he always wanted to live in a country like Canada and he would most likely be unfair to me out of spite.
Has anybody who was accepted by the federal skilled program know about how through the immigration officers are through the process?
Thanks a lot!
