Question on FBI PCC for US stay

Hi Guys, I am currently residing in US and want to get my PCC from FBI. After going through multiple posts I got the application form on which i need to get my fingerprints and mail them to FBI. However, i want to know where should i get my fingerprints taken (local police station ?)

I know that third party Channelers services are only available for US citizens. (Doesn't apply to me)
Anyone who has gone through the same process, kindly help.

when i was in US, I called local police station, and each neighbouring station would have different day and time allocated for fingerprinting, and some of them would charge like 10$ fee, others wont charge.
but yes that is the place.
and PCC done from channeler comes faster, but i think its not valid.
it has to be done via FBI.
